• Induced Credit card misuse (of the parents). In many cases a child gets addicted to online gaming. In games there are some allurements and in-game purchase traps. In gaming challenges the child wants to purchase GAMING CHARACTER or things like GUN SKIN to get an edge over the other gamers. In normal cases the child does not have sufficient money to purchase such items. Then the child uses his parent’s credit card for such purchases. This leads to loss of money of the parents.

       It has been observed that young children or teenagers are the primary and easy targets for criminal activity as they are trustworthy, naive, adventurous, and eager for attention and affection. For instance, the predator creates a fake identity suppressing his/her exact age. Then the predator or the cybercriminal might approach a young individual online and form an online friendship based on the same likes, interests, and activities. Gifts and photos could be exchanged as a result of this. The predator tries to gain the child’s trust to get what they want from the child. This type of online conversation or chats may continue for weeks and months. Thus the child gets entrapped to the child cybercriminal before the sufferer discovers that the person with whom he has been electronically conversing with is not who he claimed to be.
