For instance, the predator creates a fake identity suppressing his/her exact age. Then the predator or the cybercriminal might approach a young individual online and form an online friendship based on the same likes, interests, and activities. Gifts and photos could be exchanged as a result of this. The predator tries to gain the child’s trust to get what they want from the child. This type of online conversation or chats may continue for weeks and months. Thus the child gets entrapped to the child cybercriminal before the sufferer discovers that the person with whom he has been electronically conversing with is not who he claimed to be.
